Hey everyone! Today I’ll be styling my dad’s clothes! The trend of,” wearing my bf’s/ gf’s clothes for a week.” OR ,”styling someone else’s clothes.” Has been around for awhile. (I’m so late, lol.) Unfortunately, it is super cold and snowing outside, so I won’t be able to wear my dad’s clothes for a week, but instead I’ll be styling them! My dad’s style is very… umm. BLAND. lol, no tea, no shade. Sorry dad, but he lacks in the fashion department, as most guys do. (Not a bad thing!) His closet contains sweats, t-shirts, and business clothes. I will NOT be wearing any pants because, I’m sure it is obvious but, we are not the same size. They won’t fit and there’s just no reason to try to wear them. Haha, let’s get to styling these clothes!
1. Blue & White pinstripe button- up: When these button up shirts are oversized, I like to transform these into off the shoulder shirts. To do this, all you have do is pull the shirt down to where it sits onto your shoulder, where it won’t fall, button the rest of the remaining buttons on, and then tuck in the rest of collar and buttons. I do this just to bring a different look to button up shirts! Sometimes they get kind of boring. Black pants are from Forever 21, the hat is from Target, earrings from Amazon, and Silver chain is from Forever 21!
2. Green Gingham button- up: I personally LOVE this shirt! Gingham pattern is super trendy at the moment and I love this green color! I decided to just tuck in the collar and unbuttoned the first 1-3 buttons to create the v-shape in front! Then just buttoned the rest of the shirt regularly and paired it with a mini denim skirt! I think this can work! Also paired with some sunglasses from Amazon! Skirt is from Forever 21.
3. Army green button – up: I loveeeee this! This reminds me of school days just because it’s very similar to what I would wear to school. I didn’t like to dress up too much, but I at least tried. Lol. I decided to keep this shirt unbuttoned. Jeans are from American Eagle. Black tie up shirt is from Forever 21. Earrings are from Amazon. This look would be super stylish paired with some black high top Converse or black combat boots!
4. Red Button- up: On camera this shirt is appearing to be more pink, but it is actually red! This shirt is long enough to cover my butt, so I decided to turn this into a dress! I just buttoned it all the way. Cardigan is from the thrift store! Over the knee boots are from Forever 21 and the belt is from Lulu’s. I decided to put my hair in a half up bun.
I honestly could’ve also called this,” Different ways to wear button- up shirts”, lol. But this is mostly what my dad’s closet consist of! I hope the gives you some inspiration if you ever need to dress up a little more, need a new look, or just want some entertainment. Don’t forget to follow my socials!
